AB Annual Day 2010
AksharBharati Annual Day event on 18th April 2010, followed by awareness show from Avadhoot Gupte and troop
Tod dala.! Dhammal, rocking performance by volunteers and Avadhoot Gupte made our annual day 2010 a great event. It is one of the most memorable days of the last few years for AksharBharati. We truly implemented "work hard and play hard".
Our annual day started with a speech by Mr. Anand Yadav, a well known senior Marathi literature writer, who is famous for his novels Zombi and Natrang later on which a well known Marathi film "Natrang" was released. State level competitions in quizzes and drawing were held to which we received overwhelming response from 80 schools. Competitions were followed by cultural programs performed by more than 150 childrens from various schools and communities was a center of attraction for audience. Mr. Kapil Sahastrbuddhe has conducted workshop for close to 56 NGOs and more than 100s of their members.
It was indeed a fun thrilled morning continued with Avadhoot Guptes rare rock sequence performance by evening. We have seen more than 1000s of spectators in a day thus witnessing the sign of AksharBharati awareness and true growth.
There were more than 100s of AksharBharati volunteers running for the cause and that scene was a real fantastic, one could cherish forever. It is the satisfaction of working for a cause, reflecting on everybody is face and I think that is what would attract anyone towards AksharBharati.
This event has been well captured by our media partners. Thanks to them as they had given us a timely support. We thank to our sponsors IBM, Infosys, VIT College. Along with Media partners and sponsors we would like to thanks all AksharBharati volunteers who have made this event truly memorable and successful.
AksharBharati appreciates core team members and sub teams for a successful coordination and standing together to mark this event a grand success.
